Flash! Bang! Boom! Discover our Amazing Weather! 
Lightning, thunder, hail and wonder! Get blown away by whirlwinds, tornadoes, 
hurricanes and cyclones. Watch out, or you might just get swept up by these 
interesting weather phenomena through this fun and engaging program. 
Pre-registration is required. Admission: Free. Recommended for families with 
children 5 and older. 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.

Largo Public Library's 3rd Anniversary and Pledge Burning Celebration
August 1st at 9:00am–Largo Public Library, 120 Central Park Drive - Join Largo Public Library in celebrating our 
3rd anniversary in our beautiful building. The party lasts all day. The Greater Largo Library Foundation has partnered 
with the Pinellas Animal Foundation to present a day of fun, including the opening of the BOWser Abode Building Exhibit
of 12 dog houses by local designers, a storytime and lunch with Clifford the Big Red Dog (reservations needed for this 
$4.00 per person event), and a photo contest for local dogs. Tickets are available for after hours dinner and entertainment 
as well. Call the Greater Largo Library Foundation for more information and tickets. 727-586-7398.

Itty Bitty Splashtime
August 1st & 8th at 9:30-10:30am–Highland Family Aquatic Center, 400 Highland Avenue - Ages 5 and under enjoy companionship 
of other parents and caregivers while the children play together in a safe aquatic environment. Moms' clubs are welcome.
2 years old and under are free. Call 518-3018. Only the Activity Pool is available for use. The sprays and zero depth slides will stay 
off to accommodate the younger children. Sprays and zero depth slides will be turned on at towards the end of the party for those 
who would like to use them. This time is not designed for children over the age of 5. For more information visit largopools.com.



The Tricky Dog Show
August 1st at 2:00 PM–Largo Public Library, 120 Central Park Drive
Check out this circus style, comedy dog act that includes important lessons on reading for fun, research at the library, setting goals, and more.
